Support Taniesha and Lathan’s IVF Journey

Story

Anyone who has experienced the journey of infertility knows how emotionally and physically taxing it can be. Taniesha and Lathan Pooser are no strangers to this roller coaster. After more than six years of marriage and even longer as dedicated educators investing in the lives and futures of young people, they are now ready to share this deeply personal part of their story.

In 2024, after exploring many avenues, medical professionals informed the Poosers that their only viable option for growing their family would be through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), a process that can cost up to 30,000 for a single cycle. While this news was difficult, they are grateful to have been connected to the exceptional team at Emory University’s Fertility Center. With the encouragement of loved ones and much prayer, Lathan and Taniesha have decided to move forward in faith.

On behalf of the Poosers, we invite you to stand with them in the following ways:

Pray.
We believe that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and that we are called to bring every anxiety and request before the Lord with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6–7). For those who follow Christ, we ask that prayer be your first act of support. Pray for wisdom for the medical team, strength and peace for Lathan and Taniesha, and that God would bless them with new life.
Give.
While we thank God for the miracles of modern medicine, the financial burden of IVF is significant. Lathan and Taniesha are still repaying student loans and cannot take on this cost alone. If you feel led and are able, we invite you to contribute toward their 25,000 goal to make IVF possible.
